Ibis River Retreat


Spacious, charming cottages located near the rivers edge. Fully furnished with excellent finishes. The cosy lounges have jet masters for those chilly winter evenings. Each cottage has its own private terrace with loungers. The patio is equipped with braai facilities and your very own jacuzzi! On arrival, a small bottle of champagne, biscuits and pate will welcome you to your cottage and your relaxing weekend away.

Please note that one night bookings are generally taken only on a Thursday afternoon before the weekend requested. One night bookings cannot be booked in advance.

Accommodation Details

  • Hadeda Cottage: This cottage has a shade net terrace, Weber braai, outdoor jacuzzi, over looks the river. Sleeps one couple.
  • Hornbill Cottage: This cottage is has a romantic bath for 2, large walk in cupboard for longer stays. SHade net terrace and a private jacuzzi. Fireplace. Sleeps one couple
  • Fish Eagle Cottage: On the waters edge, rustic A frame cottage. Extensive entertainment area with wooden table, chairs, loungers and braai facilities. Fireplace, open plan kitchenette and small bathroom (shower only). Fold down stairs lead to the loft area. Has a covered porch. . Sleeps one couple
  • Kingfisher Cottage: Known as the honeymoon suite, romantic bedroom leads off onto the terrace which has a lie in jacuzzi with loungers overlooking the river. Braai area has uninterrupted views of the river.

  • Francolin Cottage: Private cottage catering for your family, large spacious living area with open plan lounge, kitchen and dining room. 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Large terrace with built in braai facilities, fire pit and views onto the cliff at the confluence of the Jukskei and Crocodile rivers. Has jacuzzi and fireplace. Sleeps 4.
