Ekukhuleni game farm is situated in the foothills of the Magaliesburg mountains, on the Magalies Meander, near Hekpoort. The peaceful game farm environment provides scenic walks, game viewing and excellent birding opportunities, together with grand mountain views. This situation, only an hour away from Johannesburg , Pretoria and Rustenburg, is ideal for that perfect getaway.

The farm has 4 secluded fully equipped one & two bedroom self-catering cottages, set in a tranquil natural bush setting. Each cottage has a covered veranda with a built in braai and supplied with a Cadac “skottel”. The bedrooms have bay windows and have bathrooms en suite. The tastefully decorated cottages are finished with ceramic tiled floors. Each kitchen is equipped with the necessary crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, as well as with a gas stove and a micro-wave oven. All linen and bath towels are provided. Guests should bring their own swimming towels. A salt-water swimming pool is situated in the picturesque garden.
The farm hosts Nyala, Impala, Blesbuck, Zebra, Kudu and Black Gnu. Frequent visitors include Warthogs, Small Spotted Genets, Black-backed Jackal, Duiker, Bush-babies and Mongoose.

We are in close proximity to the Cradle of Humankind. Explore the Sterkfontein Caves and Maropeng - which offers a world-class underground attraction, taking you on a journey of discovery through the history of Humankind!
Other interesting sites and activities in the area include , Balloon Safaris, Game drives with the Big 5 and an Elephant Experience at a nearby Game Lodge, A farm producing cheese according to Old Dutch traditions & recipes ,Fly-fishing at an eco-friendly venue and Restaurants and Spa's.
Otherwise - relax next to the pool, or picnic in the shade of the riverine forest, where the Doornspruit meanders through Ekukhuleni. Birders will enjoy ticking, and adding to, the 155 species already identified on Ekukhuleni.
