Magaliesburg is a quiet destination west of Johannesburg just over an hour's travelling time away from both major cities in Gauteng. Areas close to the village include Hartbeespoort Dam (approx 50km away) as well as Rustenburg (approx 60km). Waterberg Biopshere is approximately 15,000kmē and was the first region in the northern section of South Africa to be named a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, the general area is approximately 3 hours from Johannesburg.


Parys is situated approx 1.5 hrs from Johannesburg and is close to the famous Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site.


Dinokeng is located NE of Pretoria and includes the Roodeplaat and Rust de Winter dam areas.
